This primary school is a start up business that intends to offer top notch value for money education services from pre-school up to grade Seven (7) in the city of Lusaka in the Republic of Zambia. The school will be owned by Mr Fwamanda and Ms Pracious Chula and other strategic partners. They will carry out all management functions of planning, directing, organizing, controlling, coordinating, decision making and leadership for the school. However, key inputs from stakeholders e.g. guardians/parents, teachers and competitors will be incorporated in future business decisions. The school will operate on the principles of continous improvement (Kaizen) and Total Quality Management (TQM), and will always find new innovative ways of doing business in the education sector. We will have a computer lab at our school. Our market research has revealed that although a number of schools exist in our targeted area, the client is not completely satisfied due to among other reasons, poor quality services, expensive school fees and poor customer care. We want to come in and be the game changer by filling in this critical gap by providing top notch quality, value for money services in a professional ethical and responsible way. Our location, affordable fees, customer care, quality services with a high pass rate will give us the competitive edge and competitive advantage. We are enthusiastic and optimistic therefore, that within our first year of existence, we will reap healthy profits. We will employ some of the best teachers there is on the Zambian job market and ensure high levels of standards at our school. A spotlessly clean environment and small classes for learners will enable teachers impart better knowledge to learners as the teacher to pupil ratio will be 1 to 20. This business plan takes into account all the requirements for the successful operationalization of the school with regard to cost of fixed assets, labour overhead costs (electricity, water, transport, marketing, administration, and other hidden costs) plus 5% contingency allowance.
